A seasoned explorer, documentary storyteller, and advocate for slow travel, he has spent decades traversing India’s remote landscapes — from the high Himalayas to tribal territories in the Northeast. Whether he’s sitting with Apatani elders in Ziro or trekking to a forgotten Kumaoni village, Partha’s presence ensures every Iksha tour is thoughtful, immersive, and deeply personal.
Born and raised in West Bengal, Dipanwita brings a nuanced understanding of Eastern India’s cultural landscape. Her journey into tribal research and community engagement began with Bengal’s own indigenous communities — the Santhals, Oraons, and other lesser-known forest-dwelling groups — whose oral traditions and spiritual worldviews deeply influenced her early work.
Over the years, Dipanwita expanded her fieldwork across the tribal belts of Arunachal and Nagaland, immersing herself in the ceremonies, crafts, and kinship systems of Northeast India. Her exploration further deepened into Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, and Rajasthan, where she developed close ties with communities like the Baiga, Bhil, and Garasia.
